Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan <br /> The Home Depot Store#1022 <br /> Verisk 3E will be notified by the Emergency Coordinator. Any immediate, verbal notifications will be made to <br /> regulatory agencies by Verisk 3E. Subsequent written reports will be prepared and submitted by The Home Depot <br /> Store Support Center. Verbal reporting and notification requirements are described in the following subsections. <br /> 9.3.1 Internal Reporting Requirements <br /> The person discovering the spill or incident first notifies the Emergency Coordinator. The Emergency Coordinator <br /> will provide necessary guidance and/or actions to address the incident and determine if the Asset Protection <br /> Senior Managers, other Home Depot management, or Verisk 3E must be notified. <br /> 9.3.2 External Reporting Requirements <br /> If the Emergency Coordinator determines that the Store has experienced a release, fire, or explosion which could <br /> threaten human health or the environment outside the Store, the Emergency Coordinator or their designee must <br /> immediately call 911 to report the incident and notify local emergency response and contact Verisk 3E. Verisk 3E <br /> will then call: <br /> • The National Response Center(NRC), if applicable <br /> • California State OES (refer to Table 3-2) <br /> The verbal report to the designated government official and/or the NRC shall include the following: <br /> • Name and telephone number of the person reporting the incident <br /> • Name and address of the Store <br /> • Time and type of incident (e.g., release, fire) <br /> • Name and quantity of material(s) involved, to the extent known <br /> • The extent of injuries if any <br /> • The possible hazards to human health, or the environment outside the Store, and <br /> • Estimated quantity and disposition of recovered materials, if any. <br /> Per 22 CCR 66265.56(d)(2), the emergency coordinator will immediately notify the State OES every situation and <br /> will report: <br /> • Name and telephone number of the reporter; <br /> • Name and address of the facility; <br /> • Time and type of incident (e.g., release, fire); <br /> • Name and quantity of material(s) involved, to the extent known; <br /> • The extent of injuries, if any; and, <br /> • The possible hazards to human health, or the environment, outside the facility. <br /> 9.4 Evacuation <br /> If directed by the Emergency Coordinator to begin evacuation, associates will evacuate using the designated <br /> routes. In the event of an evacuation the emergency coordinator will sound the horn, followed by an <br /> announcement over the PA system.
