12958/12970 E Jahant Road Project No. 2022-00037 Page 19
7.3 General Area Septic Tank Usage, Permit, and Repair History
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the site, our office reviewed a
recent aerial photograph available from GoogleEarthTM. We counted the clusters within
approximately one square mile of the site, with the assumption each building cluster has one septic
system. Using this method, we determined there are approximately 110 septic systems per square
mile in the immediate vicinity of the site. This is a low amount of septic systems, with the majority of
these systems located on rural residential parcels.
The EHD septic permit files were obtained from the San Joaquin Environmental Health Department
(EHD) Online EHD Program Records6 in an effort to obtain copies of permits for any septic tanks
located within the general area of the subject property.
Copies of the septic search permits for surrounding parcels have been included in Appendix C of this
report. The records are summarized in the following table:
Table 5.
Neighborhood Site Sewage Disposal System Permits
Address
Date
Permit
[comments
New septic system installation with
102999 E Jahant Road
Issued
Liquid Waste Permit 21282
1200 -gallon septic, leach lines and
APN: 007-260-21
11/15/1966
seepage pits down to 25 feet below
ground surface.
Percolation test permit indicating a
13044 E Jahant Road
Percolation Test
Liquid Waste Permit
failed shallow percolation test and a
APN: 007-270-46
3/11/21
SR0083250
passing percolation test at 8.5 feet
below ground surface.
Installation permit for a new septic
12910 E Jahant Road
Issued
Permit 70-644
system with a 1200 gallon tank,
APN: 007-270-03
8/26/1970
leach lines, and seepage pits to 25
feet below ground surface.
Installation permit for a new septic
12892 E Jahant Road
Issued
Liquid Waste Permit
system with a 1200 -gallon tank,
APN: 007-270-21
12/14/2020
SR0083011
leach lines, and seepage pits to 25
feet below ground surface.
Based on the file review at EHD, the septic systems in the area appear to utilize leach fields and
seepage pits. From our review, the septic repairs in the vicinity appear to consist of the addition of
leach lines and seepage pits. These septic installation and repair permits can be found in Appendix
D.
6 https://lfweb.sjgov.org/WebLink/Browse.aspx?dbid=lEtcr=1 accessed September 9, 2019
Petralogix Engineering, Inc.
26675 Bruella Road, Gait Ca 95632
(209)-400-5729
www.petralogix.com
CI
