Preliminary Check To Initial Start Up Package Plant <br /> 1. Check influent and effluent pipe connection, pumps, motors, blowers or other <br /> accessory items to insure that all are tightly bolted into place. <br /> 2. Check the blower to make sure that belts and drives are free of obstruction and all <br /> electrical connections are complete including thermal protection if applicable. <br /> Check that the blower gear housing is filled with oil. Straight weight, non-detergent <br /> (See lubricating instructions in operation manual.) Belts and oil refer to plants with <br /> on positive displacement units only. <br /> 3. Check that effluent weir trough and weir is level and set to the correct elevation. <br /> Adjust if necessary. Check that the blower gear housing is filled with oil. Straight <br /> weight, non-detergent (See lubricating instructions in operation manual.) <br /> 4. Check the tank interior to assure it is free of mud, rocks or other debris. If tank <br /> has been standing full of water for an extended period since installation, it is <br /> desirable to drain tank to make certain it is reasonably clean. <br /> 5. Turn all switches in the electrical control panel to the "off' position. <br /> 6. Inspect diffuser drop pipe bottom header(s) in tank to see that they are level and <br /> supported. Adjust if necessary. Each diffuser assembly has a throttling valve <br /> located at the top of each drop feed pipe. These valves should be checked to <br /> make sure that they are in the full open position. <br /> 7. Inspect all steel equipment surfaces for scratches or marred surfaces incurred <br /> during installation and touch up with paint provided. <br /> S. Turn "ON" the main line disconnect switch at the power pole. <br /> 9. Turn "ON" blower(s) circuit breakers. <br /> 10. Turn blowers N-O-A switch on hand position momentarily and check blowers for <br /> correct rotation. If rotation is incorrect, turn circuit breaker "Off' and switch L1 and <br /> L2 leads at main disconnect on power pole, After change, re-check the blower's <br /> rotation as outlined. <br /> 11. If other electrical accessory equipment has been furnished, be sure to check for <br /> proper rotation, <br /> pcs/,1 mistartup-pre]in inarti-1-6 <br />
