9. Listen to and check flows of equalization pumps to assure proper <br /> operation as well as pump float switch actuation. <br /> Weekly Maintenance Procedure <br /> 1. Thirty-minute settling test (Activated Sludge Volume Test) - collect one <br /> sample from sampling box and one form the effluent from the settling <br /> tank. <br /> 2. Record test data. <br /> 3. Clean any grease and floating solids from walls and water surface of the <br /> equalization tank. <br /> 4. Check all equipment to see that it is operating properly and if any fuses <br /> are blown or circuit breakers opened. <br /> 5. Clean the growths and accumulated solids from weirs and pipe inlets. <br /> 6. Check to see if airlift sludge return pump or skimmer is clogged or about <br /> to clog. <br /> 7. Run pH and MLSS test; dissolved oxygen, chlorine residual or any other <br /> weekly test deemed necessary by your local regulatory agency. <br /> 8. Check oil level in blower. <br /> 9. Check time setting on time clocks. <br /> 10. Scrape walls and hoppers of settling tank. <br /> 11. Clean trash and weeds from around plant and equipment. <br /> Monthly Maintenance Procedure <br /> 1. Lubricate blower bearings. <br /> 2. Check V-belts for proper tension and wear. Replace when necessary. <br /> 3. Check air filters and clean when necessary. <br /> Annual Maintenance Procedure <br /> 1.
