Lubrication <br /> Blower - Before starting blower be sure to check to see if oil has been put in the <br /> gear housing. The recommended lubricating oil is SAE 30. To add oil or to <br /> check oil level, be sure oil level petcock is open, then add oil slowly until it begins <br /> to drip from open petcock, when unit is idle. Leave petcock open until oil has <br /> stopped running out. This avoids over lubrication, as too much oil causes <br /> heating and oil leakage. Close petcock after checking oil or filling. Change or <br /> add oil as needed. <br /> Blower Bearings - Bearings at gear end are lubricated by splash from gears but <br /> bearings at drive end are packed with grease prior to shipment. Renew this <br /> grease as needed with best grade, high temperature, ball bearing grease (not <br /> ordinary cup grease) about once a month. <br /> Blower Motor - Bearings are packed with grease prior to shipment and need no <br /> further lubrication. <br /> 1-4 <br />
