5.0 HISTORICAL USE INFORMATION <br />The following is a list of historical Site use information sources reviewed during the original Phase <br />I ESA. <br />Aerial Photographs - CAC acquired and reviewed aerial photographs from <br />Environmental Data Resources, Inc. (EDR). EDR provided <br />photographs from 1937, 1940, 1957, 1963, 1968, 1975, 1982, <br />1993, 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2016. Copies of the aerial <br />photographs are included in Appendix B. <br />Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps- CAC requested Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps from EDR <br />covering the Site and nearby areas. Sanborn Fire Insurance <br />Maps were not available for the Site vicinity. <br />City Directories - City Directories were available for the Site vicinity and the <br />information is summarized below. <br />USGS Topographic Map - CAC acquired and reviewed the historic topographic maps of <br />the Lathrop, Ripon, Vernalis and Manteca, California <br />Quadrangles (7.5 -minute) for the years 1914, 1915, 1952, <br />1968, 1969, 1976, 1980, 1987, 1991, 1994, 1996, 2012, <br />20015 and 20018. <br />Building Department - CAC interviewed personnel at the City of Manteca and San <br />Joaquin County Building and Planning Departments regarding <br />records for the Site. <br />Fire Department - CAC interviewed personnel regarding past hazardous <br />materials use/storage at the Site at the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department. <br />Other Sources - CAC interviewed Ms. Joanne Kimbrough (representative of <br />the current Site ownership) and Mr. Steve Miller of Signature. <br />5.1 SUMMARY OF PRIOR USES — THE SITE <br />Pre 1914-1968 Based on a review of historic maps from 1914 and aerial photographs from as <br />early as 1937, the Site has been vacant and/or used for agricultural production. <br />The irrigation ditch running through the Site and pump were observed as early <br />as 1940. The residential structures as well as a larger structure (possibly a <br />barn) were identified in the northeast corner of the Site as early as 1937. <br />5-3 <br />
