Landfill <br /> Page 6 of 12 <br /> 14 CCR 17656 Identification Signs <br /> An identification sign was present at the gate and included the name <br /> of the site operator . <br /> 14 CCR 17657 Entry Signs <br /> This site is not open to the public and accepts waste only from <br /> commercial haulers. An entry sign indicates hours of operation (7AM- <br /> 4: 30PM, Monday-Saturday) , schedule of charges ($4.00 per yd 3) , and <br /> lists the general types of materials accepted ( "solid waste, trash, <br /> rocks, blacktop, cement, demolition, and etc. " ) . <br /> 14 CCR 17658 Site Security <br /> Perimeter fencing is adequate to discourage unauthorized entry by <br /> persons or vehicles. The equipment/maintenance area is fenced, <br /> separating it from other landfill activities. Areas of asbestos <br /> disposal are not enclosed but supervision is provided during the <br /> operating day to insure an adequate level of security. According to <br /> Mr . Vidas, asbestos waste is immediately covered upon receipt . <br /> 14 CCR 17659 Access Roads <br /> The access roads are smooth, paved and provide all-weather access to <br /> the facility. No tracking of dust or other material onto Austin Road <br /> was observed. <br /> 14 CCR 17660 Internal Roads <br /> The LEA Inspection Report for November 1990 notes that internal roads <br /> are being resurfaced. This work is now complete. All internal roads <br /> are smooth and maintained so that vehicle access and unloading can <br /> be carried out during inclement weather. Signs showing direction to <br /> operating areas are present. <br /> 14 CCR 17666 Sanitary Facilities <br /> Sanitary facilities consist of four chemical toilets; two located by <br /> the site office, one near the asbestos disposal area, and one in the <br /> equipment/maintenance area. Water ( from an on-site well) for hand <br /> washing is provided in refillable plastic containers at each of these <br /> locations. <br /> 14 CCR 17667 Water SuVV1 <br /> Bottled drinking water is available for all employees at the site <br /> office. The drinking of on-site well water, provided for washing, <br /> should be discouraged. <br /> 14 CCR 17668 Communication Facilities <br /> There is a telephone ( 209-982-4298) at the site office.
