7.3 Agricultural Commissioner's Records
Live Oak contacted the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office
regarding agricultural use of the site. According to Monica Hernandez of that
office, the Site has been almond orchard farmed by R & T Farms in the recent
past (correspondence, March 17, 2022). A variety of agricultural chemicals have
been applied to the property, as indicated on the attached table (Appendix 5).
No violations were identified.
7.4 California Geologic Energy Management Division Records
The California Geologic Energy Management Division (CaIGEM) Well Finder
website was queried on March 16, 2022 for mapped oil or gas wells within one-
quarter mile of the subject Site. The Site is located within the Tracy West gas
field. No wells were identified on the subject Site, though one well was identified
within one-quarter mile of the Site. The well, operated by Conley & Associates
Inc., is a plugged dry hole ("Pereira et al Unit" 1, API 0407720371). It is located
approximately 1,000 feet northeast of the Site.
Hazardous materials may be associated with the drilling of natural gas wells.
Regulatory oversight for well drilling is provided by the California Geologic
Energy Management Division.
7.5 National Pipeline Mapping System Database
Live Oak reviewed the National Pipeline Mapping System (NPMS) database on
March 16, 2022 for evidence of hazardous materials pipelines within one-quarter
mile of the Site. Two pipelines were identified within the search radius. A natural
gas transmission line runs along Von Sosten Road on the southern property line
of the Site; the pipeline is operated by Pacific Gas & Electric Company and is
listed as active. A hazardous liquid pipeline runs along Byron Road
approximately one-quarter mile from the Site; the pipeline is operated by SFPP,
LP, contains non -HVL product, and is listed as active. The Pipeline and
Hazardous Materials Safety Administration defines non -HVL (non -highly volatile)
as "flammable, toxic, or corrosive products obtained from distilling and
processing of crude oil, unfinished oils, natural gas liquids, blend stocks and
other miscellaneous hydrocarbon compounds. Examples include motor gasoline,
diesel fuel, fuel oil, aviation gasoline, jet fuel, kerosene, acetone, benzene,
MTBE, naphtha, or other non -HVL petroleum products."
Local pipelines which are not mapped by the NPMS may also be present in the
area.
LOGE 2214 8
