12 July 2022
Project No. 14-3009

one (1) CPT sounding boring for lithological evaluation to a depth of 120 feet bsg. A total
of two (2) additional borings at the proposed location will then be advanced separately for
collection of grab groundwater samples to vertically delineate impacted groundwater to
the northeast (Figure 2). The proposed CPT soil borings will be advanced approximately
25 to 30 feet northeast of CPT-3 (Figure 3).

Soil borings will be advanced to total depths of approximately 65 feet bsg and between
100 and 120 feet bsg to collect groundwater samples from the intermediate and deep
water-bearing zones. Soil samples will not be collected during drilling. Grab groundwater
samples will be analyzed by a California Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program
(ELAP)-certified lab for the following:

 Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) in accordance EPA
method 8015M.
 Volatile organic compounds (VOCs): benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes
(BTEX); fuel oxygenates: tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME); and lead-based fuel
scavengers: ethylene dibromide (EDB) and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) in
accordance with EPA Method 8260B.

Laboratory reports for water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality
assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain-of-custody documentation
will be presented in a report with the findings and recommendations.

2.3. REPORT PREPARATION

Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be
prepared presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description
of the work performed and results of the sampling and analysis. Conclusions, applicable
recommendations, and maps will be included in the report. The report will be reviewed
and signed by a California Professional Geologist.

3.0. FIELD PROCEDURES

All field procedures will be overseen by an AGI representative under the supervision of a
California Professional Geologist. Procedures for the advancement of soil borings,
sampling, and boring abandonment are outlined below.

3.1. CPT ADVANCEMENT

CPT soil borings will be advanced to a depth of 120 feet bsg or until refusal is encountered
utilizing a 25-ton truck-mounted CPT drill rig equipped with 2-inch diameter hollow-stem
rods. The CPT drill rig utilizes a hydraulic ram to advance the rods to the desired depth.
At the proposed boring location, the first of the paired soil borings will advance a cone
