(Not to be used until Authorized by EHS Officer) • All Medical Waste is to be red bagged and placed into medical waste barrels provided by medical waste vendor. (Stericycle) • All waste inside of compactor has been deemed infectious and is to be removed, placed into red bags, which is then to be placed into medical waste barrels and stored in medical waste bunker (holding container) to await p/u by Stericycle. EVS staff has been authorized overtime to facilitate the removal of waste as required. Appropriate PIPE is being utilized as well as frequent breaks and water is being provided for adequate hydration. All solid waste is to be placed into debris box, provided by vendor (Waste Management) neat/at loading dock area. Prior to filling debris box as Management is to be contacted for pick-up, dump and return. • Use of the compactor has been shut down and restricted as of 06/27/0,6. (Not to be used until Authorized by EHS Officer). • Stericycle will provide the necessary barrels and picks daily until further notice. • Lock Out Tag Out Lock removal was authorized by EHS Officer and lock removed by Ed Rocha, Chief Engineer, to facilitate detachment of compactor by WM to allow access to waste for placement into medical waste barrels by EVS personnel. Waste Management will provide the necessary dump and return of debris until Authorization has been given to restart use of compactor. 0 EVS staff have been notified and given written instructions and information regarding waste disposal procedures as noted above.
