Section 7-090.2 of the Stockton <br />Municipal Code requires all permitted industrial users to provide accurate and detailed information <br />regarding sewer discharge and waste handling procedures_ A review of your permit application file <br />indicates that additional information is required. Using the enclosed form, please provide the following <br />information within 30 days from receipt of this request: <br />1. Sources of all liquid medical wastes within the entire medical facility (i.e.: surgery, emergency <br />room, laboratories, etc.) <br />2. Disposal methods for each type of liquid medical waste from each specific source (i.e.: sewer <br />discharge, landfill, incineration, etc.) <br />3. Treatment of liquid medical waste prior to disposal from each specific source (i.e.: autoclaving, <br />disinfection, etc.) <br />Medical waste includes: <br />• Cultures and stocks of infectious agents and associated biologicals, including laboratory waste, <br />biological production wastes, discarded live and attenuated vaccines, culture dishes, and related <br />devices. <br />Liquid human waste, including blood and blood products and body fluids, but not including urine <br />or materials stained with blood or body fluids. <br />• Pathological waste. <br />Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
