Pacific Medical, Inc. <br />Laboratory Procedures <br />TITLE: Environmental, health & safety procedures for the <br />storage & disposal of biohazardous materials & <br />biohazardous waste. <br />IaliR 961.49 <br />SCOPE: <br />To establish an operating procedure for the storage, shipping and disposal of <br />biohazardous materials & biohazardous waste. <br />This operating procedure applies to the storage, shipping and <br />disposal of all biohazardous materials and biohazardous waste <br />within the facility of Pacific Medical, Inc. located at 1700 North Chrisman Rd., Tracy, <br />Ca. 95304 <br />RESPONSIBILITY: <br />DEFINITIONS: <br />The following individual(s), or designated Authorized personnel, are <br />responsible for procedural compliance within their respective areas: <br />Surgical Lab Coordinator -Lori Vukmirovich <br />Laboratory Assistant- Marco Ramos <br />Refer to operating procedure EHS-010 for definitions of terminology <br />REFERENCE OF OPERATING PROCEDURES: <br />PROCEDURE: <br />EHS-010 Environmental, Health & Safety Procedures for the Biohazardous <br />Materials & Biohazardous Waste Program. <br />EHS-011 Environmental, Health & Safety Procedures for the Receiving & <br />Handling of Biohazardous Materials & Biohazardous Waste. <br />EHS-012 Environmental, Health & Safety Procedure for the Decontamination <br />of Biohazardous Waste. <br />EHS-013 Environmental, Health & Safety Procedures for the Storage, Shipping <br />Disposal of Biohazardous Materials & Biohazardous Waste. <br />STORAGE: <br />Biohazardous Materials <br />*Cadaveric specimens will be stored, until used, in <br />freezers(temperature maintained at a minimum of <br />0 degree Centigrade) for no longer than a continuous <br />1 -year period. Specimen Room Locked. <br />*Cadaveric specimens will be thawed in an approved leak proof <br />container at ambient temperature for 24hrs prior to use. <br />
