5. Section 118280 (b)lo 0 <br />a. In the designated accumulation area, there was pharmaceutical waste in plastic bags <br />that had not been removed and placed in appropriate containers. Pharmaceutical <br />waste may not be stored for more than 90 days. Complete 5-27-10. <br />Lodi Memorial Hospital West <br />1. Section 117635 (g) <br />a. A red biohazardous waste container in a dirty utility room on the TCU 2 was labeled <br />incorrectly. The red biohazardous waste container has a faded CHEMO label on the <br />lid and one label stating incineration only on one side. On Friday, 5-21-10 we <br />returned the inappropriately labeled containers to the vendor, Stericycle. Complete 5- <br />21-10 <br />2. Section 118310 <br />a. A soiled utility room being used as an accumulation area for the storage of medical waste <br />containers had and entry door, adjacent to a patient room that could not be verified it had <br />the proper signage in use. The only sign on the patient room side of this door indicated <br />"Dirty Utility". The correct signage "CAUTION—BIOHAZARDOUS WASTE <br />STORAGE AREA—UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS KEEP OUT," and in Spanish, <br />"CUIDADO—ZONA DE RESIDUOS—BIOLOGICOS PELIGROSOS—PROHIBIDA LA <br />ENTRADA A PERSONAS NO AUTORIZADAS," was also ordered along with the <br />addition signs needed at Lodi Memorial Hospital main hospital.
