Employee and/or manager must inspect premises daily and look for sources of breeding (such as <br />stagnant water, wet debriS, manure...) <br />ManagO-s are to schedule transportation for manure in a timely manner <br />Manureihandling equipment is to be cleaned each week <br />Spraying and/or trapping must be done as needed to keep fly counts down <br />Dead ar4mals must be put in the freezer Immediately <br />Sufficient materials & equipment must be kept on hand to effectively perform these tasks <br />Manages are to train the workers about fly prevention and insist on effective performance <br />Sanitation: <br />After each flock (10 to 13 weeks) each building will be totally cleaned out, meaning that once manure <br />has been removbd from the building, the inside of the barns will be washed down and then sanitized. <br />Water from wash down will be drained out at the south end of the building. Water will then be diverted <br />into a holding tank to later be pumped out and either sprayed on the land in times of clement weather <br />or removed froriil the site when the weather will not allow for sprayed water to dry out. <br />If this Manure Management & Fly Prevention Program Is Ineffective: <br />3 <br />In the event theifacility managers have made every reasonable effort to follow the Intent of this <br />program but still find the problem of excessive fly breeding and large fly populations persist, the <br />problem must t+ brought to the attention of Company management for more intense planning or <br />referral to outside resources to resolve the problems. <br />Revised 10)24/16
