Failed to electronically submit an adequate ER procedures for a release or threatened release. <br /> RESPONSE: The Home Depot electronically submitted an updated Emergency Response Contingency <br /> Plan on 1/27/2023. The updated HMBP is enclosed for your review. <br /> 6. Failed to provide or document initial and/or refresher training to appropriate personnel. <br /> RESPONSE: Distribution Center(DC)#5363 had access to its hazardous waste training records at the <br /> time of the inspection through a database on The Home Depot's intranet system. The Home Depot <br /> developed and implemented a comprehensive Handling Hazardous Materials and Waste (HHM) <br /> Program to ensure proper management of hazardous materials and hazardous wastes at its DC's. All <br /> DC Associates receive initial hazardous waste-related training at the beginning of employment.Other <br /> designated Store Associates (i.e. facility manager, salaried managers, Asset Protection Managers, <br /> Department Supervisors, Maintenance Associates, and Associate Coaches) receive additional training <br /> beyond the orientation class to provide further instruction for additional spill response, storage, and <br /> labeling considerations. An annual refresher is also given via Class#00160913 (Associate Safety and <br /> Asset Protection -ASAP). A copy of the completion records for ASAP are enclosed for your review. <br /> With the transmittal of this letter, it is our understanding that the alleged conditions associated with the items <br /> listed above have been resolved.
