Not Applicable Limited VT; External Tank Shell is
insulated
S-2
Inspect internal and external shell-to-bottom weld
area for corrosion, defects, or thinning on weld,
shell, or bottom.
Not Applicable Limited VT; External Tank Shell is
insulated
S-3
Inspect for corrosion or defects. Perform
Ultrasonic (UT) scanning of suspect areas. Record
all findings.
Code D No areas of corrosion noted, Tank is
insulated
S-4 Check supports / appurtenances for corrosion or
defects. Code D All appurtenances are acceptable
S-5
Conduct Visual (VT) inspection of shell insulation.
Inspect for damage. Inspect for corrosion
beneath damaged insulation
Code D External insulation is acceptable
S-6 Visual (VT) inspection of shell for out of roundness
or local deformations. Code D Acceptable
S-7
Perform Ultrasonic (UT) testing of the shell and
compare to original nominal thickness. Reference
SP001, Section 10 for Suitability for Continued
Service.
Code D Base line UT measurements were taken
S-8 Check Tank for proper labeling: Not
Applicable
Proper labeling will be installed on the
tank per client
S-9
Measure tank dimensions (circumference and
height / length) and verify measurements versus
provided data.
Code D Acceptable
S-10 Inspect interstitial space of double-wall tanks for
leaks and presence of liquid. Not Applicable Tank is single-walled.

CONDITION CODE DEFINITIONS
Code A: Unsafe condition, repairs critical to tank integrity (e.g. bottom / shell repairs) - Out of compliance with current STI / SP001 standards.
Positive action must be taken prior to continued service.
Code B: Recommendation involving inspection findings that do not have immediate safety or environmental implications, but through continued
deterioration could eventually become a Code A condition. Recommendations also address out-of-compliance with current STI / SP001 standards
with no damage or failure noted. Further Engineering evaluation required. Assessed and documented prior to continued service.
Code C: No action required non-critical pertinent findings / suggestions. Monitor for continued deterioration.
Code D: Acceptable - In compliance w/ STI / SP001 Standards - No action required
