Will need to go to cleanup. Reviewed
complaint.
Notified by Alex Steele that Dave Larsen will be on-site tomorrow (Saturday) to
continue excavation and confirmation soil sampling for PCBs will be done by
Arcadis on 11/23. Called and spoke to Dave who confirmed he will be on-site
tomorrow morning at 7am to begin clean-up. Notified him to contact John Alaniz,
weekend inspector, to verify the clean-up. Updated John on the clean-up and
sampling, since John may have to witness sampling since I will be off 11/22-11/26.
TIME SPENT: 3:42 PM-6:48 PM
Received a call from Dave Larsen, PG&E, informing that the spill cleanup was
completed. Left for the site and met with Dave and property owner Galen Olson,
209-887-2624. Dave generated approximately 2 additional 55 gallon drums of
contaminated soil. Cleanup observed was deemed acceptable to county standards
(sampling of soil for PCBs will still take place). The waste was taken back to 4040
West Ln, Stockton.
NOTE: On the way to the spill I got lost and required the assistance of Lead
Senior Haza Saeed.
8:00 AM: Called Alex Steele, PG&E, 209-337-8902, and confirmed sampling
would take place at 9:00AM. Called the property owner and informed them I
would be leaving to the site.
Site visit 8:18 AM-1:42 PM
Witnessed PCB sampling by Jocelyn Wong with Arcadis (415-710-0074). 29
samples were taken around the excavated area. Alex was onsite overseeing
sampling.
Left site at approximately 12:30 and arrived back to the EHD at 1:42PM
Completed photo logs from 11/20 and 11/23 site visit and gave to lead inspector.
Reviewed narrative. Called and spoke to Alex who states he received the sample
results back and there are two 5ft by 5ft areas that need more excavation and
sampling, Dave will be excavating today, and Alex will be taking the samples on
Friday.
Was updated by Elianna Florido, senior REHS, that additional sampling will be
needed based on PCB results. May need to witness sampling on 12/3/2021.
Updated Elianna that I will be going to the sampling site.
Emailed Kristina Saetern Saetern, EHS, sample results received from Alex Steele.
Discussed results with Kristina and Elena Manzo, lead senior.
Received an update from Alex Steele that the sampling is scheduled to take place
on 12/3/2021 at 9:00 AM. Alex also said he would email the Arcadis sampling
results later.
Recorded by
ALANIZ
FLORIDO
ALANIZ
ALANIZ
FLORIDO
ALANIZ
ALANIZ
Received the PCB results and emailed them to the inspector in charge of the
complaint. Alex indicated that sampling results below 0.062 mg/kg meet EPA
standards for residential levels and would not require further testing.
Reviewed sampling site map.
5105.rpt
