0 s
May 28, 1987
Project 116-1.7
will not be constructed until the final grade over these trenches is
established, the July 1 SWAT Report deadline will not be met for leachate
sampling and analysis. As soon as construction of the new system is
complete, leachate samples will be collected and analysed according to the
revised SWAT Proposal, and results will be forwarded to the Regional Water
Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region.
We will be back at the Forward, Inc. Landfill on June 2 to resume field
work. We will close the old monitoring wells, then install the new
monitoring wells, and then drill the vadose zone borings. We anticipate
well closure will take 3-5 days, well construction will take 2-3 weeks, and
vadose zone sampling will take 2-3 weeks. I will call your office
periodically to keep you informed of our progress.
Please call me at (408) 978-1514 if you have any questions.
Respectfully submitted,
BETA ASSOCIATES
Carrie Cummings
CAC:pcf
cc: Mr. Greg Basso, Forward, Inc., Stockton
Mr. Ray Leclerc, Department of Health Services, TSCD, Sacramento
Mr. James Miller, San Joaquin Local Health District, Stockton
-3-
Associates
