COUNTY - <br /> CASE #2209 <br /> Attached is a copy of the forward agenda package, which includes waste discharge <br /> requirements (WDRs) proposed for adoption by the Regional Board on 29 . January <br /> 1988. These WDRs include changes made in response to comments received after <br /> circulation of the tentative WDRs. The major changes are as follows: <br /> 1. Designation of the ' land treatment unit as a Class II Waste Management Unit. <br /> 2. Addition of other beneficial uses (p . 4) . <br /> 3. Rewording of shredder waste discharge specifications (pg. 8) . <br /> 4. Addition of closure specifications (pp 15, 16, and 18) . <br /> 5. Addition of a special classification provision for WMU "E" (pg. 19). <br /> 6. Addition of monitoring wells 5, 7, and 9 to the monitoring network (pg. 6 of <br /> Monitoring and Reporting Program) . <br /> 7. Addition of a few new monitoring parameters for leachate, ground water, vadose <br /> zone, shredder waste, ash, and contaminated soil . <br /> In a letter dated 6 January 1988 (copy attached) , the California Farm Bureau <br /> Federation objected to disposal of asbestos waste at Forward Landfill and is <br /> contesting the WDRs.
