Section No. 2.Q <br />Revision No. 3,0 <br />Gate: <br />Page ® of <br />2.2.2 Quality Assurance Officer <br />The Quality Assurance Officer reports directly to and receives <br />support from the Analytical Director, The Q,A. Officer has <br />sufficient authority end_organizational freedom to identify <br />quality problems; to initiate, reccmmerd or provide solutions; <br />and to verify implementation of solutions. The Q.A. G`ficer's <br />duties and responsibilities include: <br />a. Development of Quality Assurance procedures, instructions <br />and plans; <br />b. Maintaining surveillance over all routine and nonroutine <br />aspects of the Quality Assurance Plan; <br />c. Evaluating Q.C. data reports; <br />d. Performing inspections, writing reports, and providing <br />follow-up action; _ <br />e. Making recommendations for resolution of problems <br />and management evaluation; <br />f. Coordinating Q.A. activities (a.g., propose changes of <br />policy or procedures) among laboratory administrative <br />personnel. <br />g. Monitoring the intralaboratory Q.C. sample program, <br />submitting monthly blind samples to each laboratory section <br />for analysis; <br />h. Forwarding audit reports to the responsible Section <br />Supervisors for corrective actions; <br />i. Re -initiating analysis. <br />
