I . FINDINGS <br /> A. A description of the facility 's design and operation as authorized <br /> by the permit: dam` 4f; <br /> 1 . The Forward Inc. , Sanitary Landfill is 157 acre Clas/through <br /> I , WMU(A) , <br /> (eight acres) , undergoing closure. A Class III site cury permit- <br /> ted to accept residental, commercial and demolition wasts well <br /> as specified designated wastes in waste management Unit H, <br /> per there report of disposal site information dated December 1987 <br /> by EBA. The landfill is operated as a trench fill with th-e excavated <br /> earth stockpiled and utilized for cover. The facility is located <br /> on the S/s Austin Rd. 2 mi S/Arch Rd. , Stockton, San Joaquin County , <br /> California. The site accepts up to 3000 cubic yards per day of <br /> commerical, industrial refuse from the Delta Container Corporation <br /> and commerical haulers. The general public is not allowed to dispose <br /> at this site as a condition of Use Permit U-73-9. Operating hours <br /> are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM six days per week. <br /> 2. Types of wastes received at the site include: <br /> a. Residental Refuse r <br /> b. Commercial Solid Wastes <br /> C. Tires <br /> d. Industrial Wastes <br /> e. Construction/demolition Wastes <br /> f. Waste Water & Water Treatment Plant Sludges <br /> g. Liquid and Slurries <br /> h. Asbestos <br /> i. Approved Incerinator Ashes <br /> j . Contaminated Soil <br /> k. Food Processing Wastes <br /> 1. Approved Shredder Wastes <br /> 3. Additional information concerning the facility ' s design and operat- <br /> ing is included in the (EBA) Report of Disposal Site Information <br /> and Engineers Report dated December 1987 and is made a part of <br /> this permit. <br /> 4. There are no proposed changes in the facility ' s existing operation <br /> which will be implemented within the next five years. <br /> 5. The compactor operator has been trained to identify, "hazardous <br /> material" , if found it is sent back with private haulers for recyling <br /> or proper disposal . <br /> 6. Forward Inc . also has a Transfer Station were they conduct a <br /> Resource Recovery Program. <br /> B. Listing of all agencies and documents that condition the operation <br /> and use of the facility . <br /> 1. Use Permit U-73-9 issued by the San Joaquin County Planning <br /> Department. <br /> 2.
