VESERIS <br />Contingency Plan <br />Section 11 — <br />Training <br />Effective Date <br />9/20/2021 <br />Supersedes <br />New <br />Page <br />11-1 <br />POLICY: <br />All employees and contractors of the branch are to be familiar with the contents of <br />this plan. They must know the primary and secondary exits within their respective <br />work areas, as well as the location of fire extinguishers and first aid kits which they <br />may utilize in an emergency. Prior to performing work at the facility, contractors <br />shall review and understand the requirements of this plan. Exhibit 1 of Reference <br />1.23 of the OSM should be used to document the contractor training and <br />maintained on file at the facility. For spills, all contractors shall immediately notify <br />the branch operations manager or supervisor of any spill. Contractors shall not <br />manage any spill, including small releases of hazardous materials. All response <br />actions shall be managed by appropriately trained Veseris personnel. <br />I. CLASSROOM <br />All branch personnel with hands on contact with hazardous chemicals and <br />hazardous wastes are to receive appropriate training and review from a <br />qualified instructor. Branch personnel include the Branch Operations <br />Manager/Supervisor, Emergency Coordinator (if not the same as Branch <br />Operations Manager/Supervisor), Alternate, and all operations employees. <br />All new operations employees are to receive this training within two months of <br />hire. Training is to be repeated as outlined on Veseris' refresher training matrix. <br />A copy of the training outline is included at the end of this section. <br />Documentation indicating that the required training has been conducted should <br />be kept in the Documentation Manual; attendance sheets are submitted to <br />Corporate Operations for data entry into the Training Tracker database.
