FINDINGS
PA-2300135&PA-1900295
MOSSDALE ASSOCIATES LTD/MIKE SOUZA
General Plan Map Amendment No. PA-2300135 Findings
1. The proposed amendment will contribute to the public health, safety, and general welfare or will be
a benefit to the public.
• The proposed General Plan Amendment will be a benefit to the public because
approval of the General Plan Amendment will allow the existing zoning designation
to be consistent with the proposed General Plan Designation. This will allow the
current approved use to finalize and legally establish their use that was previously
approved.
2. The proposed amendment is consistent with the General Plan goals, unless the goals themselves
are proposed to be amended.
• The proposed General Plan Map Amendment from I/L (Light Industrial) to I/W
(Warehouse Industrial) is consistent with the General Plan which states that the I/W
designation is typically applied to locations within or adjacent to utility special
districts, or within two miles of Urban Communities. Developments must be located
along a highway frontage road. The proposed site with located just outside the city
limit of Lathrop.
3. The proposed amendment retains the internal consistency of the General Plan and is consistent
with other adopted plans unless a concurrent amendment to those plans is also proposed and will
result in consistency.
• This finding can be made because the location proposed for a General Plan Map
Amendment to the I/W (Industrial - Warehouse) designation is consistent with the
goals and locational criteria outlined in the General Plan.
4. The proposed amendment has been reviewed in compliance with the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act.
• This finding can be made because the proposed General Plan amendment is exempt
from the CEQA process pursuant to Government Code section 15304. The
underlying project was previously reviewed, and the proposed amendment will not
create any significant impacts.
PA-2300135 & PA-1900295— Findings 1
