Clean Earth Environmental <br />HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE PROGRAM <br />6 TERMS OF WASTE STORAGE <br />All wastes will be processed when received and removed from the collection site by 20:00 hrs on the day of the <br />event (Saturday). <br />During the event, if any unacceptable waste streams are inadvertently collected, they will be placed in a secure <br />area clearly marked and packaged. The appropriate emergency agencies such as fire, police, or other outside <br />agency will be immediately notified to remove these unacceptable items. <br />7 INCLEMENT WEATHER PROCEDURES <br />In the event of inclement weather, the following procedures will be implemented: <br />a) Hot Zone areas will be tented to provide protection from extreme heat/rain. <br />The areas to be tented will include: <br />Segregating area <br />Lab Pack/Inventory area <br />Bulking Area <br />b) For rain, all workers will wear disposable rain gear under PPE. <br />c) For rain, additional absorbent material will be available for use in Hot Zone to prevent slippage. <br />d) Operational Changes <br />Decisions regarding operational changes for the events are made jointly between the designated on- <br />site supervisors from both the County and Clean Earth. <br />e) Closing the Event <br />Should inclement weather pose a health and safety risk to the event workers, or the surrounding <br />community, the decision to close the event will be made from the on-site supervisors from both the <br />County and Clean Earth. <br />2
