Body Regenesis 11c. <br /> 2023 <br /> BODY ART PRACTITIONER & FACILITIES <br /> INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL PLAN <br /> (IPCP) <br /> OPERATION PROCEDURES <br /> This policy was written to comply with the requirements of the <br /> California Safe Body Art Act Section 119313. <br /> Infection Prevention and Control Plan (IPCP). <br /> (1) SANITATION <br /> (a) Before working on each client, the hands of the artist shall be thoroughly washed and dried using sound hygienic <br /> practices,prior to beginning work on each person or when interrupted in the process. <br /> (b) Disposable,unused examination gloves shall be worn on both hands during the body art process. Gloves shall be changed <br /> and disposed of into a lined trash container each time gloves come into contact with an object or surface other than the <br /> clients prepared skin or material to be used for the procedure,when the gloves become torn or punctured, or whenever <br /> their ability to function as a barrier is compromised. <br /> (c) Each artist shall wear use a clean apron/isolation gown,bib,and/or lap pad over clean,dry clothing. Face shield and/or <br /> mask to cover the mouth and hair net every time the Artist is working on a client. <br /> (d) Artists who are experiencing symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, fever, rash, productive cough,jaundice or draining (or <br /> open)skin infections,boils,impetigo or scabies shall refrain from body art activities. <br /> (e) Only single-use,disposable razors shall be used to shave the area to be tattooed. The disposable razor will be disposed <br /> of in the sharp's container after use. <br /> (f) Before placing the design on the patron's skin, the tattoo artist shall treat the skin area with an antibacterial solution. <br /> Skin surfaces will be treated with: Antibacterial liquid soap and wiped off with antibacterial wipes or makeup <br /> remover wipes,in some cases when the skin is vein oily,we may use alcohol pre-moist wipes. <br /> (g) Only commercially manufactured inks,dyes,and pigments shall be used. This facility uses predominately the following <br /> inks/dyes or pigments:Tri-Labs,PhLbrows,and Seftap Brands Pigments with an iron oxide base Other <br /> components are glycerin,water,and alcohol. <br /> (h) If a paper stencil is used by a tattoo artist for transferring the design to the skin,it shall be single-use and disposable. <br />
