Disposal Facility (Site) Inspection Report (52) <br /> North County Landfill & Recycling Center (39-AA-0022) <br /> 8/18/2023 <br /> 14, 2023, more than a month late. The results demonstrate that the physical <br /> contamination limits and the maximum metal concentrations satisfy the regulatory <br /> requirements. <br /> No results have been received for the pathogen density limits testing. Written as an <br /> area of concern on the July report. This testing measures fecal coliform and <br /> Salmonella sp. levels. Immediately collect samples as specified in Title 14 and have a <br /> qualified lab complete this testing. <br /> No Areas of Concern <br /> Inspection Report Comments <br /> 1. The active face was moved to new disposal area 6. First disposal was made in area 6 <br /> today. <br /> 2. Water truck was operating for dust control. <br /> 3. First truck dumped waste at active face at 7:14 am. <br /> 4. Green waste records indicated that 1035 cubic yards were shipped off site for retail sale in <br /> June. <br /> 5. Soil gas monitoring well #22 was measured. Shallow probe: 0.0% methane, 0.1% carbon <br /> dioxide, 20.7% oxygen, 79.2% balance; intermediate probe: 0.0% methane, 0.1% carbon <br /> dioxide, 20.7% oxygen, 79.2% balance; deep probe: 0.0% methane, 0.1% carbon dioxide, <br /> 20.7% oxygen, 79.2% balance. <br /> 6. Soil gas monitoring well #21 was measured. Shallow probe: 0.0% methane, 0.4% carbon <br /> dioxide, 20.2% oxygen, 79.4% balance; intermediate probe: 0.0% methane, 0.6% carbon <br /> dioxide, 19.8% oxygen, 79.6% balance; deep probe: 0.0% methane, 0.0% carbon dioxide, <br /> 20.5% oxygen, 79.4% balance. <br /> 7. Daily tonnage violation from last inspection has been resolved since there were no tonnage <br /> exceedances in July. <br /> 8. Reviewed special occurrences log, training record and load check record. <br /> 9. Observed litter pickup crew working on-site. <br /> 10.
