Sample <br />numbers begin with (001) and proceed upward. No sample number can be repeated, and re-tests of a <br />failing sample are given the original number with a letter suffix (i.e., re-tests for a failing sample 021 <br />would be: 021A, 021B,etc.). Information contained in the master log of test samples includes: <br /> <br />• Sample number <br />• Test(s) to be performed <br />• Date sampled <br />• Inspector obtaining sample <br />• Location sampled <br />• Location to testing (site vs. off site) <br />• Date sample sent off site <br />• Date test results received <br />• Site testing Inspector <br />• Date testing completed at site <br />• Test results and remarks <br /> <br />3.2.4 Soil Sample Tagging <br /> <br />The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for maintaining sample identification for all soil samples while <br />on site, from time of sampling through completion of testing.
