• February 1988 permit for repair to existing residential system (southern house). A 100 -foot leach line was added to the existing system. An additional house is depicted to the northwest, as well as the maintenance shop and off-site house to the east (12333 Manthey). • June 1994 permit for repair to existing septic system (house off-site to east, septic located on-site). A 60 -foot leach line and 5- by 10- by 10 -foot sump were added to the existing system (12333 Manthey). • August 2019 permit for repair to existing residential septic system (southern house). An 80 -foot leach line was added to the existing system (212 Frewert/12333 Manthey). Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity To estimate the septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic systems that exist within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo imagery from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photo was assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that at least 30 septic systems per square mile are located in the immediate vicinity of the Site. Parcels located within the City of Lathrop were not included in the estimate. The Site is located northwest of the City of Lathrop, in a mixed agricultural/residential/industrial area. Septic Permit History in the Vicinity Based on a review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department for nearby properties, most septic systems in the area utilize leach lines only; one permit indicated a filter bed system. The septic permits can be found in Appendix 4 of this report. Expected On -Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage Maximum expected usage on the Site would be from the future residents, employees, and customers of the Site. Septic system design should be based on the San Joaquin County On -Site Wastewater Treatment Systems Standards (2017) or other engineering recommendations. LOGE 2142 Page 3
