Water is provided by a domestic well near the maintenance shop and an <br />irrigation well in the field. <br />The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br />map, is approximately 12 to 15 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat <br />(Plate 4). <br />According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org), the Site is zoned AG - <br />40, limited agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. The San Joaquin County <br />Community Development Department states that this zoning designation "is intended to <br />recognize and preserve areas that contain existing concentrations of small-scale <br />agricultural operations and dwellings." <br />Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br />Existing Septic System <br />Two septic systems are currently located on the Site. One septic system serves the <br />existing house, and a second system on the Site serves an adjacent residence to the <br />east, according to the Site Map prepared by MCR Engineering (2021). <br />Proposed Septic System <br />A septic system will be constructed for the office of the new truck parking facility. <br />On -Site Septic Permit History <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department septic permit files were <br />searched for the Site addresses. Six septic permits were identified: <br />• September 1968 permit for new septic system at residence (location unclear). <br />The system included a 1,200 -gallon septic tank and a 60 -foot leach line, a <br />seepage pit is depicted in the sketch (12333 Manthey). <br />• September 1971 permit for new septic system at residence (southern house). <br />The system included a 1,200 -gallon septic tank and an 80 -foot leach line (12333 <br />Manthey). <br />• July 1987 permit for repair to existing septic system (house off-site to east, septic <br />located on-site).
