Site (Plate 3). Water is provided by a domestic well near the maintenance shop and an irrigation well in the field. The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map, is approximately 12 to 15 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat (Plate 4). According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org), the Site is zoned AG - 40, limited agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. The San Joaquin County Community Development Department states that this zoning designation "is intended to recognize and preserve areas that contain existing concentrations of small-scale agricultural operations and dwellings." Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage Existing Septic System Two septic systems are currently located on the Site. One septic system serves the existing house, and a second system on the Site serves an adjacent residence to the east, according to the Site Map prepared by MCR Engineering (2021). Proposed Septic System A septic system will be constructed for the office of the new truck parking facility. On -Site Septic Permit History The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department septic permit files were searched for the Site addresses. Six septic permits were identified: • September 1968 permit for new septic system at residence (location unclear). The system included a 1,200 -gallon septic tank and a 60 -foot leach line, a seepage pit is depicted in the sketch (12333 Manthey). • September 1971 permit for new septic system at residence (southern house). The system included a 1,200 -gallon septic tank and an 80 -foot leach line (12333 Manthey). • July 1987 permit for repair to existing septic system (house off-site to east, septic located on-site).
