Operating the Printer <br />The paper feed switch on the <br />printer is a rocker type switch. <br />Push the left side (A) of the rocker <br />switch to toggle the printer ON <br />and OFF. Push the right side (B) <br />of the rocker switch to ON / FEED <br />position to advance the paper. <br />When the printer is first turned <br />on, it prints the word READY to <br />assure the operator that its built in <br />microprocessor is working prop- <br />erly. When turning the printer <br />OFF, wait at least 3 seconds be- <br />fore turning the printer back on. <br />Inserting the Paper <br />Roll <br />1. Press the left side (A) of <br />the switch to toggle the <br />printer OFF (the lamp will <br />go out). <br />2. Unroll 5 to 7.5 cm (2 to 3 <br />in.) of paper (1). <br />3. Cut a straight edge on the <br />paper (1) if it is torn or <br />jagged; this will facilitate <br />the entry of paper into the <br />printer. <br />4. Slide the paper (1) into the <br />slot (2) on the back of the <br />printer; it will slide in 6.4 <br />mm (1 /4 in.) before it stops. <br />5 <br />Press the left side (A) of (� <br />the switch to toggle the <br />printer ON (the lamp will turn on). <br />IVIl of VV <br />
