The CONTRACTOR will be held responsible for all installations not conforming to the manufacturers' recommendations. If any item of material or equipment is found to be installed not in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, the CONTRACTOR shall make all changes necessary to achieve such compliance. 1.10 WORK QUALITY A. Work shall be performed by mechanics and workers skilled and experienced in the fabrication and installation of the Work feature involved. All Work under this Contract shall be performed in accordance with the best practices of the various trades involved and in accordance with the Construction Drawings, reviewed shop drawings, and the Agreement Conditions. B. All Work shall be erected and installed plumb, level, square and true, or true to indicated angle, and in proper alignment and relationship to the Work of other trades. All finished Work shall be free from defects and damage. C. The QA/QC CONSULTANT reserves the right to reject any materials and Work quality that are not considered to be up to the general standards of the various trades involved. Such inferior material or Work quality shall be repaired or replaced, as directed, at no additional cost to the OWNER. 1.11 FIELD MEASUREMENT A. CONTRACTOR shall secure all field measurements required for proper and accurate fabrication and installation of the Work included in this Contract. Exact measurements are the CONTRACTOR's responsibility. The CONTRACTOR shall verify all dimensions in the field. 1.12 ACCESS TO WORK A. The authorized representatives of the following agencies will also have the right of access to inspect the Work covered by these Contract Documents during the performance of this Contract: 1. California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle). 2. San Joaquin County Department of Health Services. 3. San Joaquin County Air Pollution Control District. 4. Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. 5. Other Local, State, and Federal Agencies. B. These inspections will be performed in the presence of the OWNER and QA/QC CONSULTANT. Reasonable facilities for the proper handling and inspection of the materials and the Work shall be furnished by the CONTRACTOR. 1.13 TESTING LABORATORY A. The QA/QC CONSULTANT will select and pay for the services of a testing laboratory(s) to conduct earthwork and other tests as required in the CQA Manual, except where the CONTRACTOR is specifically required to perform the testing. The costs of retests or additional testing caused by the CONTRACTOR's operations may be deducted from the payment due the CONTRACTOR. 1.14 PERMITS AND LICENSES
