Butt-Fusion Joining: Butt-fusion of pipes and fittings shall be performed in <br />accordance with the pipe manufacturer's recommendations as to equipment and <br />technique. Depending on site conditions, butt-fusion joining shall be performed <br />in or outside of the excavation at the EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR's option. <br /> <br /> <br />3.6 PLACEMENT OF RISER PIPE <br /> <br /> A. Place riser pipe at location shown on the Construction Drawings. <br /> <br /> B. Connect pipe sections by thermal butt fusion. <br /> <br /> C. Construct riser support as described in Section 02300, EARTHWORK. <br /> <br />3.7 PLACEMENT OF POND INLET PIPE/CULVERTS <br /> <br /> A. Place pond inlet pipes/culverts at locations shown on the Construction Drawings. <br /> <br /> B. Connect pipe sections by thermal butt fusion. <br /> <br /> C. Backfill pipe trenches as shown on the Construction Drawings. <br /> <br /> D. Place and weld prefabricated HDPE boot at penetration of inlet pipe at the pond. <br /> <br /> E. Place one way valve at end of pipe at location shown on the Construction <br />Drawings. <br /> <br /> <br />3.8 PROTECTION OF PIPE <br /> <br /> A.
