The GDM shall be provided by the EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR. <br /> <br /> <br />2.4 COARSE GRAVEL <br /> <br /> A. Clean, washed, well-rounded, hard, durable gravel free from dirt, clay clods, roots, <br />and other foreign materials. Material shall conform to the following washed sieve <br />gradation as determined by ASTM C117 and C136: <br /> <br />Sieve Size Percent Passing by Weight <br />1" 100 <br />1/2" 0-15 <br />No. 4 0-5 <br />No. 200 0-2 <br /> <br /> B. The minimum hydraulic conductivity to water shall be 1.0 cm/sec. <br /> <br /> C. Coarse Gravel Material placed directly on geotextile and around HDPE pipe shall <br />contain no angular particles. <br /> <br /> D. Coarse Gravel Material shall contain no limestone or other material that will <br />adversely react with leachate. <br /> <br /> E. The Coarse Gravel shall be provided by the EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR <br /> <br /> <br />2.5 SLURRY CEMENT MIXTURE AND CLSM <br /> <br /> A. The EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR shall submit to QA/QC CONSULTANT a <br />proposed slurry cement mixture that will be suitable for use in the anchor trench. <br /> <br /> B. The EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR shall submit to QA/QC CONSULTANT a <br />proposed CLSM mixture that will be suitable for use in the pipe trench. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2.6 POND SAFETY LADDER <br /> <br /> A. The pond safety ladder shall be constructed of a 3-inch diameter UV-protected <br />nylon rope with rungs at a 2-ft minimum spacing. <br /> <br /> B. No 4 rebar shall be used to aid in anchoring the pond safety ladder in the anchor <br />trench. <br /> <br />
