<br /> <br /> <br />FORWARD COMPOST FACILITY STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS GEOSYNTHETC <br />02777 3 CLAY LINER <br /> <br />1.6 PACKING AND SHIPPING <br /> A. Geosynthetic clay liners shall be supplied in rolls wrapped in liquid impermeable and opaque protective covers. <br /> B. Geosynthetic clay liners shall be marked or tagged with the following information: 1. manufacturer's name; 2. product identification; 3. lot number; 4. roll number; and 5. roll dimensions. <br /> C. Transportation of the prefabricated geosynthetic clay liner is the responsibility of the GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall be liable for all damages to the materials incurred prior to and during transportation to the site. <br />1.7 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND PROTECTION <br />A. Delivery. 1. Deliver materials to the site only after the QA/QC CONSULTANT accepts required submittals. 2. Separate damaged rolls from undamaged rolls and store at locations designated by the OWNER until proper disposition of material is determined by the QA/QC CONSULTANT and the OWNER. 3. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for damage to the GCL during delivery, even if the rolls are unloaded by the EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR. The QA/QC CONSULTANT will determine damage. B. Handling, storage, and care of the geosynthetic clay liner, prior to and following installation, are the responsibility of the GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR, until Final Acceptance of the liner system by the OWNER. <br /> C. The GCL shall be protected from moisture, excessive heat or cold, puncture, or other damaging or deleterious conditions. The GCL shall be stored off the ground and out of direct sunlight. Any additional storage procedures required by the manufacturer shall be the GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR’S responsibility. <br />1.8 SEQUENCING AND SCHEDULING <br /> A. A pre-installation meeting shall be held to coordinate the installation of the geosynthetic clay liner with the installation of other components of the lining system. <br /> B. The geosynthetic clay liner shall be on-site fourteen days prior to the scheduled installation date or available for sampling at the manufacturing plant to allow for
