When the pH is in the proper range(7.4-7.6),bring another sample in.Add 2lbs 4 oz of Soda Ash with the pump running to raise the pH.Follow product label directions.Let the treatment circulate throughout the system, then retest in 4 hours to ensure pH and Total Alkalinity are within the recommended ranges.Add additional Soda Base Ash if needed.Do not add more than 4 pounds of Soda Ash or 10 pounds of Alkalinity Up per 10,000 gallons of pool water at any one time.Do not add Alkalinity Up or Soda Ash the same day as Hardness Plus.Adjusting the pH affects the Total Alkalinity.Wait 4 Hours before next step.Retest pH and Total Alkalinity. Balance the water prior to adding a dechlorinating agent.Add 3 lbs 13 oz of Leslie's Chlorine Neutralizer with the pump running. Follow the product label directions.Let the treatment circulate throughout the system,then FAC retest in 4 hours to ensure the FAC level is within the recommended range of 2.0-4.0 ppm before entering the pool water.Reduce daily chlorination and/or feed rate and allow time and/or sunlight to lower chlorine. CYA We recommend promptly treating COMMERCIAL swimming pools and spas when the Cyanuric Acid level is 100 ppm or higher because of state and local health code requirements.E While these requirements do NOT apply to residential pools or spas,high levels are Cyanuric Acid will impact the effectiveness in sanitizers and should be treated. There are two primary ways to treat high Cyanuric Acid levels. Option 1 (No Drain Method):E To reduce CYA when levels are 100ppm or more,you can use Bio-Active as an alternative to draining.E Carefully follow the directions on the product label and application card . Option 2(Drain Method):E The draining method requires that the Cyanuric Acid be physically removed from the pool by draining the water.E It is not recommended to ever drain all of the water from a vinyl liner pool.It will irreversibly damage and stretch the liner and,never look right again. If you need to drain the water from a vinyl liner pool,you should drain no more than one-third of the water,refill and repeat until the desired level is reached.
