URS
Mr. Robert McClellon
May 18, 2006
Page 3
the preservative. The groundwater samples will be placed into the analytical laboratory prepared
sample containers.
• Groundwater samples will be labeled and placed in ice chests with ice. The samples will be
transported by vehicle or shipped to the analytical laboratory for VOC analysis by EPA Method
8260B under proper chain-of-custody procedures.
The purged water will be disposed of properly, based on the analytical results of the collected
groundwater samples.
PERMIT
Enclosed with this letter work plan are the completed application for the Well/Pump Permit application
required for the groundwater monitoring wells installation, and a check for the amount of$368 to cover
the permit fees.
SCHEDULE
Following your approval of this work plan, we estimate that the field activities to install the wells could
be completed within two weeks, pending drilling contractor availability. The wells could be developed
and sampled within the week following the well installation activities. We expect that that analytical
laboratory will have the analytical results to us within three weeks of the groundwater sampling
activities. We plan to submit a report with the description of the field activities to install and sample the
wells and the results of these activities as part of the subsequent quarterly monitoring report.
If you have any questions concerning this work plan, please give me a call at(916) 679-2081.
Very truly yours,
URS Corporation
famine
Engineer
Figure 1
Figure 2
Completed Well Application
Check for$368
cc: Judy McCampbell (RadioShack)
