All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free Chlorine level is measured at 1.0 ppm, second test 1.6ppm. Corrected on site. Free chlorine is 2 <br />ppm now. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#12 pH Level <br /> MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool water pH was measure at 7.0. Corrected on site. Measured at 7.2. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#24 VGB Suction Covers MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: VGB suction cover was damaged, repair immediately. Do not reopen pool until re-inspection. Call (209) <br />468-3446 to schedule a re-inspection before reopening. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All suction outlets shall be equipped with suction covers that meet the applicable ANSI/APSP-16 performance <br />standards. (CBC 3137B) <br />#2 Pool Enclosure <br />OBSERVATIONS: The fence near the South side of the pool is loose. Structural post rusted. Correct within one month. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following: a fence, portion of a building, wall, or other <br />approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be <br />installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a <br />4-inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC <br />3119B) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective <br />perpendicular height of 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members shall be spaced <br />at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot <br />arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1 3/4 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet <br />are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994.
