All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR OBSERVATIONS: Free Chlorine level is measured at 1.0 ppm, second test 1.6ppm. Corrected on site. Free chlorine is 2 ppm now. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) #12 pH Level MAJOR OBSERVATIONS: The pool water pH was measure at 7.0. Corrected on site. Measured at 7.2. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) #24 VGB Suction Covers MAJOR OBSERVATIONS: VGB suction cover was damaged, repair immediately. Do not reopen pool until re-inspection. Call (209) 468-3446 to schedule a re-inspection before reopening. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All suction outlets shall be equipped with suction covers that meet the applicable ANSI/APSP-16 performance standards. (CBC 3137B) #2 Pool Enclosure OBSERVATIONS: The fence near the South side of the pool is loose. Structural post rusted. Correct within one month. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following: a fence, portion of a building, wall, or other approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a 4-inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC 3119B) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective perpendicular height of 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members shall be spaced at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1 3/4 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994.
