Page 3 <br />CONSTRUCTION FEATURES <br />DRIVE ASSEMBLY <br /> <br />Motor and drive assembly are <br />located out of exhaust air stream. <br />Drive assembly and motor support <br />are constructed of a rugged <br />galvanized steel frame. Belts are <br />static free, heat and oil resistant. <br />Cast iron drives are sized for 150% <br />of drive horse power. <br />MODEL PDU <br />DIRECT DRIVE <br />MODEL PNU <br />BELT DRIVE <br />BIRDSCREEN <br />Constructed of heavy <br />gauge galvanized wire. <br />Attached to top of <br />windband to reduce the <br />chance of objects <br />collecting in discharge <br />area. Optional on <br />PDURG and PNURG <br />models. <br />MOTOR <br />Motors are heavy-duty <br />type with pre-lubricated <br />ball bearings requiring <br />minimum maintenance. <br />All motors are located <br />out of the air stream and <br />are cooled with outside <br />air. <br />BEARINGS <br />Permanently lubricated <br />bearings are used in <br />duplex split pillow block <br />housing. Bearings are <br />resiliently mounted in <br />neoprene rings, providing <br />extra protection and <br />vibration isolation. The <br />bearing assembly is rated <br />at an L50 life of 200,000 <br />hours and features Acme's <br />5 year limited warranty. <br />ALUMINUM AIRFOIL IMPELLER <br />All models have non-overloading aluminum <br />impellers with single thickness, backward <br />curved blades. Impeller is optimally matched <br />with inlet orifice resulting in a high <br />performance centrifugal fan that operates with <br />a minimum of air noise and maximum <br />efficiency. Impellers are precision balanced. <br />COMPARTMENT COVER <br />Constructed of heavy gauge <br />aluminum. Quick release <br />latches allow for easy cover <br />removal and access to motor <br />compartment without tools. <br />DISCONNECT <br />A disconnect switch <br />or plug is furnished <br />as standard. Switch <br />is mounted internally <br />on PDURF and <br />PNURF models and <br />externally on PDURG <br />and PNURG models. <br />BREATHER TUBE <br />Cooling Fins located <br />on top of the <br />impeller draws <br />outside air through <br />the breather tube <br />directly into the <br />motor compartment <br />resulting in <br />maximum motor life. <br />WINDBAND <br />Constructed of heavy gauge <br />aluminum with rolled bead for <br />extra strength. Orifice base and <br />motor base constructed of <br />galvanized steel. <br />VIBRATION ISOLATION <br />Neoprene vibration isolators are <br />installed to isolate motor and <br />drive base from fan housing.
