All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: No safety equipment on site. Provide life ring and rescue pole with body hook prior to opening this spa. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#16 Water Clarity MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The bottom of the spa is not clearly visible from the deck. This spa shall be closed and shall not be <br />reopened until the spa water is clean and clear. A re-inspection is required to verify the spa water clarity. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br />pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck. (CCR 65527) <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Diarrhea sign is not location at the entrance area of a pool. The pool operator shall post at the entrance <br />area of a public pool, a sign in letters at least 1 inch (25 mm) high, that clearly states that persons with diarrhea and persons <br />who have had diarrhea within the prior 14 days shall not enter the pool water. Correct in a week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: There are gaps between spa coping and deck/concrete floor. Seal these gaps within one month. <br />Overgrown vegetation observed around the deck and emergency shutoff area. Clean and maintain facility clean within one <br />week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained.
