A billable complaint <br /> will be generated within 30 days of this notice if we do not hear back from you. <br /> Ox Water Sampling needed: <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) requires well sampling as part <br /> of the permitting process for any new or replacement domestic well. San Joaquin County Well <br /> Standards section 9-9.2.1* states "To determine quality of water produced by a new water well, <br /> it shall be sampled by the EHD for bacteriological and chemical analysis after development, the <br /> installation of the well pump, and disinfection." The cost of sampling was included with the well <br /> permit issuance. <br /> © Lack of or Inadequate Sanitary Seal at Wellhead. <br /> (SJC Ord. Code,Title 9, Section 9-1115.5.—Well Regulations) <br /> Corrective Action: Install a sanitary seal between casing and well cover plate/seal all gaps and <br /> openings. <br /> © Lack of or Inadequate Sampling Tap. <br /> (SJC Water well Standards, Section 4.13.—Sampling Tap) <br /> Corrective Action: Install a non-threaded sampling tap between the wellhead and the check valve <br /> or within three (3) feet of the well head. <br /> Please contact Aldara Salinas, Environmental Health Specialist at (209) 616-3019 or <br /> asalinas(a)-sj ov.orq within 30 days of this letter to provide a status of the well and to schedule an <br /> appointment to collect the water samples needed. <br /> Steven Shih, REHS <br /> Program Coordinator <br /> 1868 E.
