Revised Workplan-Additional Site Investigation for PFAS BSK Project E20-016-01F
Stockton Metropolitan Airport(SCK) March 1, 2023
Stockton, California Page 21
• field boring logs, and field sample logs (if applicable), and
• analytical reports.
6.2 Storm Drain Network Information
As previously relayed to CVRWQCB staff, according to Ms. Helene Nussbaumer,C.M.,ACE, Former Interim
Airport Director of SCK, the airport has contracted for a drainage study in late 2022 to early 2023. BSK
will forward the results of the drainage study performed at SCK within 60 days of BSK's receipt of said
results.
BSK will review site plans provided by SCK staff, review aerial photograph imagery, review the upcoming
drainage study and perform a reconnaissance while on site. This will be completed to determine the
potential for transporting contaminants off site.
6.3 Second Phase of the Investigation
6.3.1 PRE-FIELD ACTIVITIES
6.3.1.1 Permitting
Following the first phase on investigation BSK will discuss placement of the four (4) monitoring
wells and vertical delineation borings proposed for the second phase of investigation with the
CVRWQCB. Once a final location has been determined, BSK will submit FAA 7460-1 "Notice of
Proposed Construction or Alteration"to the FAA for consideration and approval. As noted above,
these notices often take more than 60 days to receive approval from the FAA which will result in
a delay between the two phases of the investigation.
Boring/monitoring well permits will also be required and will be obtained from the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department.
6.3.1.2 Utility Clearance
Prior to drilling, BSK will conduct the following activities:
1. Coordinate with SCK personnel and review available site drawings (as made available) to identify
locations of subsurface private utilities.
2. Mark proposed drilling locations in white paint and notify Underground Services Alert(USA) North to
initiate a ticket for marking of public utilities. Please note that despite required by California
regulations, USA North does not mark on private property unless there is an easement.
3. Conduct a private utility locating survey with a subcontracted utility locator service.
