HASP-Additional Site Investigation for PFAS BSK Project#E20-016-01F <br /> Stockton Metropolitan Airport(SCK) May 5,2023 <br /> Stockton, California Page 4 <br /> • Implementing the procedures set forth in the HASP and reporting any deviations from the <br /> procedures described in the Plan to the SSO or PM for action. <br /> • Notifying the PM and SSO of special medical problems (i.e., allergies). <br /> • Providing sufficient quantity of drinking water for on-Site personnel. <br /> 2.5 Subcontractor's Safety Representative <br /> If applicable, each subcontractor is required to designate a safety representative. That individual is <br /> responsible for the safe and healthful performance of work by his work force and subcontractors. During <br /> the subcontractor's activities on Site, the safety representative will perform continuing work area <br /> inspections, and will conduct safety meetings and safety orientations for new employees. He will attend <br /> periodic safety meetings with the SSO. The subcontractor's representative will also investigate accidents <br /> and overexposure involving subcontractor's personnel. <br /> 3. JOB HAZARD ANALYSIS <br /> Physical hazards that may be encountered on the Site include those from chemical exposure, excavations, <br /> drill rig operations, biological hazards, cold or heat stress, noise, underground and overhead utilities, on- <br /> Site traffic, and equipment failures. These are discussed below. <br /> 3.1 Fire Hazards <br /> The Site is located at an active airport and the potential for fires during on Site work is present. Dry <br /> vegetation, trapped subsurface gasses, petroleum products, and aviation fuels may be present in the <br /> general area during drilling work. Use precaution and avoid creating excessive heat and/or spark during <br /> work. <br /> 3.2 Biological Hazards <br /> Biological hazards such as poisonous insects,snakes, livestock,wildlife, and poisonous plants may exist on <br /> Site. Be aware of where you are placing your hands and feet. Protective gloves and other clothing may <br /> be worn, if necessary,to avoid contact with biological hazards. <br /> 3.3 Drilling Rig Hazards <br /> Safe work practices for drilling rig operation include: <br /> • When moving a drilling rig off-road, pay particular attention to obstacles in the route of travel; <br /> walk the route before driving on it. <br />
