V. Prepare body area for tattoo by washing with green soap <br /> VI. Apply stencil transfer to tattoo area then position tattoo pattern <br /> 2. Set-Up: <br /> I. Put on clean gloves <br /> II. Gather supplies: <br /> • Protective bags <br /> • Sticks <br /> • Solution bottles <br /> • Ink pigment <br /> • Paper towels <br /> • 2 bibs <br /> • Grip tape <br /> • Razor <br /> • Tattoo Machine <br /> • Needles <br /> • Ointment <br /> • Water cup <br /> III. Put on clean gloves <br /> IV. Plastic wrap procedure workstation tray <br /> • Spray tray with water and place plastic wrap on tray <br /> • Place bib over plastic wrap and tray <br /> V. Wrap tattoo machine and cord clip with protective sleeve. Place tattoo machine on <br /> workstation tray <br /> VI. Add needles, razors, paper towels to work station tray <br /> VI I. Cover solution bottles with protective sleeves and place them on workstation tray <br /> VIII. Set-up ink pigments caps <br /> IX. Set-up distilled water cups if needed <br /> X. Set up clean bib on storage counter to be used for tear down <br /> XI. Put on clean gloves <br /> XII. Plastic wrap any armrests or headrests and parts of chair if needed <br /> XIII. Put on clean gloves to begin procedure. <br /> 3. Tear-Down <br /> I. Once the procedure is completed, immediately remove the needle and dispose into <br /> sharps container <br /> Il. Remove protective covering from tattoo machine and place tattoo machine on clean <br /> bib <br /> III. Remove protective covering from solution bottles and place bottles on clean bib <br /> IV. Pour out any left over distilled water into the sink <br /> V. Carefully ball up all items into bib <br /> VI. Carefully ball bib and plastic wrap. Be sure to not touch the procedure tray when <br /> removing plastic wrap to avoid any cross contamination <br /> VI I. Dispose into trash receptacle along with gloves <br /> VIII. Put on clean gloves <br /> IX. Thoroughly wipe solution bottles with disinfectant cleaner <br /> X. Spray workstation procedure tray with MadaCide or CaviCide. Let sit for 6 minutes to <br /> disinfect <br /> Page 4 of 12 <br />
