Soil Vapor Extraction Well Installation Work Plan
LAKEWOOD PLAZA
308 North Ham Lane, Lodi, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
Advanced Geo, Inc. (AGI) has prepared this Soil Vapor Extraction Well Installation Work
Plan for Lakewood Plaza located at 308 North Ham Lane, Lodi, California (site or subject
site). This work plan details the scope of work and procedures for advancement of eight
(8) pilot borings for the installation of soil vapor extraction (SVE) wells.
A plan of the site illustrating proposed SVE well locations is included as Figure 1.
2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
Based on the historical and current use of the property, AGI proposes the following tasks:
• Permitting and pre-field work activities.
• Pilot soil boring advancement.
• SVE well installation.
• Report preparation.
Each of these tasks is described in greater detail below.
2.1. PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment/drilling permits will be obtained from San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD). In addition, a health and safety plan will be
updated in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for
Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health
Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, 1985).
Prior to mobilization, each proposed boring location will be clearly pre-marked, and a
utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert.
2.2. DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
AGI proposes to advance eight (8) pilot soil borings to total depths of 15, 20, and 30 feet
below surface grade for the installation of SVE wells. The soil borings will be advanced
utilizing either a six-inch diameter hand auger (interior locations) or a direct push drilling
rig equipped with 8.25-inch diameter hollow stem augers. The total depths of the wells
may vary according to geologic/hydrogeologic conditions encountered during drilling. The
proposed pilot borings/SVE well locations are illustrated in Figure 1 .
