Off-Site Groundwater Well Installation Work Plan
McBillin Real Estate Investment Property
2154 South El Dorado Street
Stockton,San Joaquin County,California
Page 7
SURVEYING
Upon completion of the proposed monitoring well network, a land surveyor licensed by the
California Department of Consumer Affairs,Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and
Geologists will be retained to survey the top-of-casing elevation for each newly installed monitoring
well. The survey data set will be uploaded into the GeoTracker database as required by law.
WASTE DISPOSAL
All investigation derived waste (IDW) will be stored at the Site as described throughout this
Workplan in metal 55-gallon drums. It is anticipated that the solids component of IDW will be
limited to soil cuttings and excess grout from monitoring well construction. One (1) 4:1 composite
soil sample will be collected from the drums containing soil to characterize the material for disposal.
The specific analytical methods will be dictated by the proposed receiving facility at the time of
generation. The liquid component of IDW is anticipated to be limited to well development water,
equipment decontamination/rinsate water, and purge water associated with sampling the monitoring
wells associated with the Site. All IDW will be transported and disposed of at an appropriate off-
site facility under manifest. Documentation of the disposal will be included as an attachment in the
follow-on Well Installation Report to be completed upon completion of all outlined above.
SCHEDULE
Upon approval of this Work plan by the CVRWQCB, Apex will immediately begin the permitting
process described above as well as the other pre-field work activities described. Once the required
permits have been obtained, Apex will retain the services of California C-57 licensed drilling
contractor to begin the field component of the workplan as soon as possible.
REPORTING
Upon completion of the groundwater well installations,Apex will prepare a Well Installation Report
documenting the results of all field activities and analytical results from samples collected from the
newly installed groundwater monitoring wells. The report will include documentation of boring
logs, monitoring well installation, monitoring well development, groundwater sampling, field
screening, laboratory analysis, well completion reports, and waste disposal.
MINOR ALTERATIONS TO WORKPLAN
Apex may make minor alterations to the proposed well locations in response to findings such as but
not limited to, a discovery of conflicts with existing structures, requirements of property owners, or
as Apex may determine to be beneficial to its future activities in connection with the Site. Apex may
may alter the proposed vertical dimensions of a boring or well as determined by the Professional
Geologist or Professional Engineer that is in Responsible Charge of the drilling and well
construction activities. The Responsible Professional may alter the boring or well design based on
their interpretation of the hydrogeologic environment and their identification of hydrogeologic
boundaries. Unless specifically prohibited by the Lead Regulatory Agency, Apex reserves the right
