Clements Fire <br />District provides fire protection, suppression, prevention, inspection, water rescue, and <br />emergency medical services (San Joaquin LAFCO 2024). The service area covers approximately <br />115 square miles in unincorporated San Joaquin County. <br />Police Protection <br />The project area is serviced by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office which has an office in <br />French Camp, CA and operates the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp. The California <br />Highway Patrol also has an office in San Joaquin County, located in Stockton, CA, and provides <br />traffic enforcement and emergency management on state and major roadways. <br />Schools <br />There are two schools within five miles of the project site. Harmony Grove Elementary is <br />approximately five miles west and Tokay Colony Elementary is approximately three miles <br />southwest of the project site. <br />Parks <br />The parks closest to the landfill are Orchard Lane Park and Salas Park, both of which are <br />approximately nine miles away from the project area.
