Mr. KRISNEIL NAIR
Forward Landfill
May 23, 2023
Page 3
Hygienists (ACGIH) for airborne asbestos fibers range from 0.1 to 2.0 f/cc for those fibers
greater than 5.0 microns in length. The Environmental Protection Agency has published
environmental clearance levels for asbestos fibers at 0.01 to 0.02 f/cc.
The asbestos results reported by the laboratory for the locations sampled during April 2023 are
one to three orders of magnitude below applicable published occupational and environmental
exposure or clearance criteria. No significant differences were observed between the upwind and
downwind monitoring locations indicating that the disposal operations did not increase the
background concentrations of asbestos fibers in the vicinity of the site. The reporting limits for
asbestos fibers during the April 2023 sampling are approximately one to two orders of magnitude
below the published EPA clearance level.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide the requested services. Please call if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
FIELD SOLUTIONS,INC.
f
PATRICK LACEY,CIH
FIELD SERVICES MANAGER
Attachments: Figure 1 —Ambient Asbestos Air Monitoring Locations
Appendix A—Air Monitoring Plan, Forward Landfill
Appendix B—Laboratory Reports and Chain of Custody Record
