<br />3-20 <br /> <br />3.7 Evaluation of Final Cover System <br />The regulations require the NWRCAP contain an evaluation of the long-term performance of the final <br />cover system to ensure that it meets the requirements of Title 27 CCR §21140 without corrective action. <br />APTIM’s review of the FSL final cover design, indicates it meets the Title 27 CCR standards, and therefore <br />no additional costs need to be added to the NWRCAP. <br />3.8 Degraded / Inadequate Containment Structure or Environmental <br />Monitoring and Control Systems <br />The regulations require the NWRCAP to provide an analysis of the adequacy of the design, capacity, or <br />component useful life of the containment structure or environmental monitoring and control systems as <br />a causal event. APTIM’s review of the environmental monitoring and control systems, indicates that they <br />meet the Title 27 CCR standards, that they have not exceeded their useful life, and that no additional costs <br />need to be added to the NWRCAP. The FSL maintains these systems on a regular basis.
