4-21

4.0 NWRCAP COST SUMMARY AND SUPPORTING
INFORMATION
A summary of the NWRCAP cost estimates is presented below on Table 4. The highest of these corrective
action costs is for the precipitation causal event estimated at $1,574,772. It is unreasonable to assume
that a precipitation event would occur at the same time as either the earthquake or fire causal events.
Therefore, the NWRCAP cost requiring funding, is the corrective action cost of $1,574,772 for the
precipitation causal event.

Table 4
Foothill Sanitary Landfill
Summary of 2025 NWRCAP Cost Estimates
Causal Event
And Other
Corrective Action
Cost Estimate
Earthquake Causal Event $569,071
Precipitation Causal Event $1,574,772
Flood Causal Event $0
Tsunami Causal Event $0
Seiche Causal Event $0
Fire Causal Event $1,221,720
Final Cover Long-Term Performance $0
Degraded / Inadequate Monitoring & Control System $0
The currently funded water release CAP estimate is $1,677,090. Because the requirement is to only fund
the higher of the non-water or the water release CAP estimates, the existing funding mechanism for the
water release CAP is sufficient.
