Postclosure Maintenance Costs <br />The Foothill Sanitary Landfill will continue post closure maintenance for a minimum 30 years <br />after to landfill closure. The 2010 cost for post closure maintenance was estimated to be $1.43 <br />million dollars per year without contingency. The updated 2025 cost is estimated to be $2.77m <br /> <br />8.4. Financial Assurance <br />The County is self-insured. The Solid Waste Division (SW) has set up an Enterprise Fund for <br />landfill closure costs. For Post-closure Maintenance and Corrective Action costs, SW has <br />entered into Pledge-of-Revenue Agreements with CalRecycle (appendix I). <br /> <br />
